6.009 is over for Spring 2017!

 

Announcements regarding the Fall 2017 offering:

  1. We are looking for lab assistants for 6.009 for the fall 2017 semester. LAs are expected to work through the labs, to attend a weekly staff training session, and to assist students during lab hours and office hours. If you enjoyed 6.009 and did well, and you are interested in coming back as an LA in the fall, please contact Adam H (hartz@mit.edu), including some information about your programming experience and teaching experience.

  2. The pre-requisite for 6.009 is successful completion of the EECS Programming Skills requirement, i.e., passing one of the following:

    • 6.00
    • 6.0001 (or 6.0001 Advanced Standing Exam)
    • 6.0002
    • 6.01 + 6.S080
    • 6.S08 + 6.S080

    You will not be allowed to register for 6.009 in the fall if you have not completed the prerequisite by the start of the semester.

    It is possible to sign up for the the 6.0001 Advanced Standing Exam (ASE) to be offered on Sept. 5, 2017. Please see the details at https://lms.mitx.mit.edu/courses/MITx/6.0001.ASEr/Exam/about, which also provides access the necessary study materials. Note that there's a deadline of August 20, 2017 for signing up. Also note that the grade received (pass or fail) from taking ASE will appear as part of your permanent transcript.
